Welcome

Hi there, my name is Alejandra Gabin, Ale for short. I am based in Camden, NSW and service the greater metropolitan Sydney area. Sessions are strictly by appointment only and can be arranged in your home or choice of location.

I am blessed to have the most amazing family, to take photos for a living and to have God in my life. I love having people around me, talking to strangers and laughing my head off. I hate exercising and bullies.

I enjoy Thai, Indian and Lebanese food. I enjoy cooking for my family, although I leave a big mess. For me nothing beats homemade rice pudding, Chilean pastries or Spanish churros with hot chocolate mmmm.

I am definitely not a morning person and I am the biggest cry baby. I cry over movies, commercials, photos and those family reunion shows nearly kill me. There are times I wish I had my old roller skates with the red stone wheels and my terry toweling shorts and just skate in the street all day long. Those were the happiest times of my life. But I can't... my teenagers would call an ambulance.

Contact me if you need a photographer, I promise not to wear any terry toweling... maybe ;)

Ben and Emma’s Wedding

Ben and Emma were married in the lovely gardens of Vaucluse House in Sydney. Emma wore a beautiful wedding gown which she designed herself, she looked breathtaking. The reception was held in the Function room of the Andrew Boy Carlton Pools, set on Woolloomooloo Bay near the Royal Botanic Gardens. It had spectacular views of the harbour and everyone danced the night away and had a ball. Congratulations Ben and Emma, thank you for having me.

Damien and Lauren Wedding

Lauren and Damien were married at Eschol Park House, the weather was perfect. We thought there might be rain but it stayed away, thank goodness. Lauren looked breathtakingly beautiful and her dad was so proud to walk her down the aisle. The ceremony was lovely with lots of bubbles as they walked away as husband and wife. The bridal party had a blast in the Hummer on the way down to Wollongong. City Beach Function Centre is where they had their reception and again everyone had a wonderful time. The highlight of the night was when Damien said his speech, no one knew if he was going to or not. He finds it difficult to speak in public like many of us but he did it for Lauren and it was beautiful and heartfelt. There wasn’t a dry eye in the place. Thank you for having me guys, it was such an honor. You always treated me with so much respect, you made me feel special. I look forward to photographing your babies in the future ;) .

Dave & Meredith (pre-wedding)

Meredith and Dave are getting married in two weeks. They are such a sweet couple and we had so much fun during their pre-wedding shoot. We went to the beach that day it was so overcast and it rained a little, Dave was really disappointed. We were going to turn back home but Im glad we didn’t. Im sure you will agree the sky looks amazing. It still amazes that I am trusted to photograph people at such a sweet time in their lives.

Dale & Melanie (pre-wedding)

Melanie and Dale were so much fun to photograph on their pre-wedding shoot. They are a lovely couple, I really like them. They brought their “fur babies” to the shoot which was a first for me. Dachshunds are so cute, it was nice to not be the only one with short little legs for a change!
In two weeks Melanie and Dale say “I do” and I am very privileged to be the one photographing it.

Josh & Ashley’s Wedding

Josh and Ashley were married at the Avalon Uniting Church on a day of extreme weather changes. By the time we got to the church it was 40 degrees already!! The weather did nothing to affect their joy and they had fun at their wedding, which always makes my job easier. Thunderstorms hit us near the end of our formal shoot which was awesome as all the beach goers went home and we had the beach to ourselves.Their reception was at the Royal Motor Yacht Club at Broken Bay‎, which was divine. Josh is the son of one of my dearest friends Gabby so it was an extra special day for me.

Richard & Nicole’s Wedding

Richard & Nicole’s Wedding
From the day that I met Nicole I loved her. Wow not very professional I know, however its the truth. She went from being one of my clients to becoming my friend within 5mins. She is that special, there have been times when I have been doing long hours and she has turned up with coffee, Italian cakes and flowers! How can you not love someone that is so thoughtful and sweet? Nicole married her “Cherie” Richard who is Mauritian at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Varroville. We all celebrated their new life together at the very elegant Eschol Park House. Congratulations Nicole and Richard may your marriage be rock solid and your love for each other grow deeper every day. love Ale

Lauren & Damien Pre-Wedding

Lauren and Damien are drop dead gorgeous so you would think this shoot would be a walk in the park, but the poor things were so scared.
It took a little while for them to relax.

We spent a Saturday afternoon in 42deg summer heat in and around the Rocks. Damien was such a good sport in his black suit.
They are a beautiful couple, sweet and easy going; perfect for one another.

Lauren paid me the most beautiful compliment ever, when she said
“We were going to elope until we saw your work. If you were busy on the date of the reception we would change the date of the wedding to have you”.
Wow when Lauren said this I wanted to look behind me to see who she was talking to… me?

Lauren and Damien get married in two weeks. Im sure they will have the time of their lives together with the people that love them the most.
